Hondo partners with Workforce Solutions Alamo to post job openings, pre-screen applicants, and coordinate job fairs. The Texas Skills Development Fund can provide free, customized training in partnership with local colleges.
South Texas Regional Training Center: This center works with Southwest Texas Junior College and Goodwill San Antonio to train your workforce. Companies hiring through the Welfare to Work program may qualify for tax credits, and we help guide you through the application process.
Utility Services and Rates: City utilities are available throughout Hondo.
- Water: $62 minimum monthly charge, $3.00–$4.65 per 1,000 gallons depending on usage
- Sewer: Meter-based minimum monthly charge; $2.27 per 1,000 gallons beyond 2,000
- Electricity:
- Small commercial: $0.144 per kWh ($30 base)
- Medium: $0.141 per kWh ($60 base)
- Large: $0.131 per kWh ($400 base)
Impact fees and demand charges may apply. Permit fees are determined during planning and vary by project size.
