BRE Quarterly Meeting Highlights Innovative Retail Tour in Live Oak
October 23, 2025
Our BRE Coordinator attended the quarterly Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) meeting hosted in Live Oak. These quarterly meetings provide an important opportunity for economic development professionals across the region to come together, exchange ideas, and strengthen partnerships that help support and grow local businesses.
As part of the meeting, attendees were treated to an exclusive tour of the new Dick’s House of Sport at the Live Oak Town Center. This location is one of the few of its kind in Texas and offers much more than traditional sporting goods. From interactive experiences to advanced training equipment and unique retail concepts, the store provides a fresh and innovative approach to engaging customers. Touring this cutting-edge facility gave attendees valuable insights into modern retail strategies, operational excellence, and creative approaches to attracting and retaining customers.
Beyond the tour, the BRE meeting offered ample opportunities for networking and knowledge-sharing among regional partners. These gatherings allow participants to discuss best practices, explore emerging trends, and identify potential collaborations that strengthen the local business community. For our team, attending meetings like this is a critical way to stay connected to regional developments, gain inspiration from innovative business models, and bring new ideas back to support Hondo’s economic growth.
We sincerely thank the hosts for organizing such a well-planned and engaging meeting. Experiences like these demonstrate the power of collaboration, innovation, and continued learning in driving business success and regional economic development. We look forward to participating in future BRE gatherings and discovering more ways to support our local businesses.
