Hondo EDC Celebrates Local Business Revitalization Through The Façade Improvement Grant

Hondo, TX – The Hondo Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is excited to share an update on the successful progress of its Façade Improvement Grant program, which has helped enhance the appearance and appeal of local businesses across the community. Since its inception, the program has assisted 9 local businesses, contributing a total of $49,443.37 toward storefront revitalizations.

The Façade Improvement Grant is designed to support Hondo’s business owners in upgrading and beautifying the exterior of their commercial properties. By reimbursing 50% of eligible improvements, up to $10,000, this grant encourages investments that not only improve individual businesses but also enhance the overall aesthetic and vibrancy of the community. From fresh paint and signage to exterior renovations, these upgrades create an inviting environment for residents and visitors alike, supporting economic growth and community pride.

Businesses that have recently benefited from the program include:

  • Studio B Salon

  • Sonic

  • Zee’s Kitchen

  • 01 Land Company

  • Medina Tire & Wheel

  • H&R Block

  • Rothe and Associates Land Surveying

  • Restore Reproductive Health

  • Brucks Insurance

These businesses have all received a “face lift” with support from the grant, showcasing the potential of public-private partnerships to strengthen the local economy and beautify Hondo.
