Hondo EDC Launches Morning S.I.P.S. to Expand Small Business Support

The Hondo Economic Development Corporation is proud to introduce Morning S.I.P.S., a new quarterly workshop series designed to complement the highly successful Lunch B.I.T.E.S. Workshops. This new initiative reflects Hondo EDC’s continued commitment to equipping local businesses with practical tools, meaningful connections, and opportunities for growth.

Morning S.I.P.S., which stands for Strategize, Inspire, Plan, and Share, offers a fresh and engaging approach to business development. Held quarterly in a separate month from Lunch B.I.T.E.S., these morning sessions provide an additional opportunity for business owners and entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and take action throughout the year.

Unlike traditional seminar-style workshops, Morning S.I.P.S. is intentionally designed to be collaborative and hands-on. Each session creates space for attendees to actively work on their businesses in real time while engaging with other local entrepreneurs. From refining ideas to building actionable strategies, participants leave with tangible progress, not just notes.

The program is led by Hondo EDC’s Business Development Specialist, Kaitlynn Jensen, who brings a practical and community-focused approach to each session. Through guided activities and open discussion, attendees are encouraged to share ideas, gain new perspectives, and build meaningful connections within the local business community.

The creation of Morning S.I.P.S. was directly influenced by feedback gathered from local businesses. Survey results indicated a strong desire for more interactive, hands-on learning opportunities, as well as additional networking events outside of traditional midday timeframes. Many respondents expressed interest in workshops that allow for real-time collaboration and immediate application of ideas. Morning S.I.P.S. was developed to meet those needs.

Early feedback has already highlighted the value of this format. Participants have shared that they appreciate the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, exchange ideas, and collaborate in a supportive and engaging environment.

With the addition of Morning S.I.P.S., Hondo EDC continues to expand its lineup of business resources. Alongside Lunch B.I.T.E.S., these programs ensure that local businesses have consistent access to education, connection, and tools needed to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing economy.
