At the Hondo Economic Development Corporation, supporting and strengthening existing businesses remains a major priority. One of the ways we continue to grow our Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) efforts is through quarterly regional BRE meetings held alongside economic development professionals from across the greater San Antonio area.
These meetings bring together representatives from multiple cities and organizations to discuss current business trends, workforce challenges, expansion opportunities, infrastructure concerns, and best practices in supporting local industry. The collaboration allows communities to learn from one another, share resources, and strengthen regional economic partnerships that ultimately benefit businesses throughout South Texas.
As part of the most recent quarterly meeting, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Jordan Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Center and tour their commercial and fleet operations facility. The visit provided an inside look at how large scale commercial vehicle service departments support businesses throughout the region through fleet maintenance, repair services, mobile service capabilities, and specialized commercial support.
The tour highlighted the important role that business retention plays across all industries. Facilities like the Jordan Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Center demonstrate how investment in customer service, workforce development, operational efficiency, and long term business relationships contribute to continued growth and regional economic stability.
Regional BRE meetings like these are valuable because they create opportunities for collaboration between communities that face many of the same opportunities and challenges. By sharing ideas, discussing trends, and learning directly from successful business operations, economic development organizations can better support the businesses and industries that drive their local economies.
The Hondo EDC appreciates the opportunity to participate in these regional discussions and thanks the team at the Jordan Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Center for hosting this quarter’s meeting and facility tour. Through continued collaboration and relationship building, the Hondo EDC remains committed to bringing valuable insights, resources, and opportunities back to the Hondo business community.
