Morning S.I.P.S. Workshop Helps Local Businesses Build Confidence and Create Better Content
June 16, 2026
The Hondo Economic Development Corporation recently hosted another successful Morning S.I.P.S. workshop, bringing together local business owners and entrepreneurs for a hands on morning of learning, collaboration, and content creation.
Held on June 11 at the City of Hondo Community Center, the workshop focused on Reel & Carousel Creation + Camera Confidence, helping participants strengthen their social media presence while connecting with fellow business owners.
Morning S.I.P.S., which stands for Strategize. Inspire. Plan. Share., is designed to provide practical tools and meaningful networking opportunities that support local business growth. This session was no exception, with attendees rotating through interactive stations focused on content strategy, personal branding, reel creation, and on camera confidence.
Participants explored ways to create engaging short form video content, develop effective carousel posts, generate new content ideas, and evaluate their current online presence. The workshop encouraged collaboration, allowing attendees to share experiences, exchange feedback, and leave with actionable ideas they could immediately implement in their businesses.
The event also provided an opportunity for local business owners to build connections and strengthen relationships within Hondo's business community while enjoying breakfast tacos from Bill Miller Bar B Q and coffee provided by Silver Creek Specialty Meats and Gourmet Coffee.
"The energy in the room was incredible," said Kaitlynn Jensen, Business Development Specialist for the Hondo EDC. "Business owners were actively sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and stepping outside of their comfort zones. Our goal is always to provide practical resources that businesses can use right away, and this workshop delivered exactly that."
The Hondo EDC extends a special thank you to TXN Bank, the workshop's partner, for helping make the event possible.
Morning S.I.P.S. workshops are offered throughout the year as part of the Hondo EDC's commitment to supporting local businesses through education, networking, and professional development opportunities.
The next Morning S.I.P.S. workshop, Canva Workshop & Collaborative Design, will be held on September 10. Business owners are encouraged to watch the Hondo EDC website and social media channels for registration information and upcoming events.
